Nach gütiger Mitteilung befreundeter Gerichtsbeamter sind folgende Titulaturen im Bergvolk den Richtern gegenüber üblich: „Herr Kaiserlicher Rat, Herr Gerichtshof, Herr Scharfrichter, Herr Tag- und Nachtrichter, Herr Gerichtshallunk, Herr Stadt- und Landrichter.“

[12] Ein Aberglaube südslavischen Ursprungs, der weit herauf in das Gebirge reicht, lautet dahin, daß man bei Citirung vor Gericht ein Tuch, mit welchem einem Verstorbenen das Kinn aufgebunden wurde, bei sich führen mußte. Wischt man sich vor dem Richter damit das Gesicht ab, so unterliegt man nicht, und solange der Knoten im Tuche nicht aufgelöst ist, kann einem das Gericht „nichts anhaben“. Vergl.
