Feral Northern Shifters 2
a finger down to circle one brown nipple before going lower and criss-crossing back and
forth over ribs. “Can I hold you?”
After a moment, Bram’s brow cleared. “Oh. Uh…”
Ethan brushed Bram’s lower belly with his fingers while watching the wolf’s face. Then he slowly
brought his hand to wrap around Bram’s cock. It was hard, almost like steel, its head glistening, and Ethan
didn’t think it would take long. Ethan also thought it was exactly what Bram needed even if not very long
ago he’d had a hands-off policy when it came to his houseguest.
“I sometimes take a while,” Bram said apologetically.
“Yeah?” Ethan asked as he traced his thumb over the glans and was gratified to hear Bram suck in a
breath. That was tension, but the right kind of tension. “We have time. Do you want to chat?” “Chat?” Bram echoed, sounding a little strangled.
“About how beautiful you are.”
“Don’t. Joke.”
“No joke, babe.” Ethan palmed Bram’s face, forcing him to look at him. “Your dark eyes do me in.”
He paused in his strokes, because Bram was very close to coming, despite his earlier concern. Ethan again
traced the glans, spreading pre-come, making Bram shiver against him.
Fisting and pumping Bram’s cock, Ethan asked, “Takes a while, huh?”
“I don’t know.” Bram’s face fell into the crook of Ethan’s neck and he wrapped an arm around the
wolf’s shoulder as he groaned. “I don’t know anything right now.”
Ethan felt Bram’s mouth latch onto his neck, as if it was a way for the wolf to hang on. “You can let
go anytime. I’ve got you, Bram.” On his name, Bram began pulsing. Ethan smiled as he received a hickey
and Bram continued to spurt in his hand.
He didn’t stop pumping while Bram’s body shuddered against his, didn’t stop until Bram stopped
making those sexy, deep, needy noises. The wolf just breathed against Ethan for the moment, like he
couldn’t move, and Ethan didn’t urge him to. Holding was enough. At some point, though, Ethan sensed a
rising tension and he murmured, “Hey.”
“I’ll clean up,” Bram said quickly, trying to push off.
“Clean up what?” Ethan locked the wolf in his arms so he couldn’t pull farther away, and Bram
looked down. “What’s sex without a wet spot?”
Still, Bram didn’t look up, until slowly Ethan forced his gaze to rise to his. Bram’s eyes were
glistening.
“Okay?” asked Ethan, now tracing a pattern over Bram’s back.
Bram gave a short, sudden nod.
“But?”
“No. No buts.” He sounded emphatic about that.
“Good.” Still Ethan waited, sensing Bram wanted to say more but he couldn’t guess what that would
be. Besides there was something too beguiling about staring into those dark liquid eyes. Ethan could have
stayed there all day.
“Can we sleep together?” Bram blurted.
Ethan grinned and before Bram could regret the question, he swung them around so Bram lay on top
of him.
“I’ll squish you,” Bram protested.
“Later, maybe. Today, you’re too skinny.”
“Oh.” Bram dropped his head onto Ethan’s shoulder. “I’m so tired.”
“I missed you, Bram. I know it sounds odd, given how little we knew each other, given the way we
knew each other. But I did. I missed you. I thought about you.”
He melted into Ethan. “I missed you too,” he whispered.
Ethan smiled into Bram’s hair. “We’re a matched set, then.”
Chapter Eighteen
The next few days passed in a haze of kissing and hand jobs. Ethan found it excruciating, but in the best way possible. He wasn’t going to make the next step until Bram was comfortable. The wolf had become increasingly so, his body turning looser and looser in Ethan’s embrace. Bram had offered more than once to blow him again, but Ethan was waiting until it seemed less like Bram’s gift and more like a mutual exchange.
They hadn’t talked again about Ethan’s reading, or lack thereof, and Ethan felt guilty that he’d reacted strongly enough to make Bram cringe, strongly enough to make Bram placate him by sucking his dick. That realization had only come in retrospect, which was perhaps a good thing. Whatever the initial cause, the sex had opened a dam between them, and now they couldn’t get enough of the kissing and coming in each other’s hands.
There was a lightness to Bram’s expression after they were sated that always undid Ethan. He hated going off to work, but the money was necessary, and there was Bram to welcome him home. When Ethan
