CHAPTER NINE
9pm. The underground fortress, New York.
Dragos looked at the enormous screen. It showed that New York was destroyed. There were burning cars and broken buildings. He could see groups of humans trying to hide. He could see vampires chasing other humans and drinking their blood. It looked like hell on earth and he had created it. He felt satisfied.
In only a few hours, they had taken New York and other major cities around the world. The humans had acted like frightened animals. They were pathetic. The world had changed in only one night. Vampires were now the leaders, humans the slaves… almost.
Although the cities had fallen, there were still the small towns and suburbs. Dragos checked a computer screen. It showed a map where the warehouses were. In each warehouse were thousands of humans, they were now the vampires' prisoners. The vampires now owned them, like humans owned cows. And everybody knew what humans did to cows...
Dragos smiled at his beautiful sister. Daciana went to him. Her lips were as red as rubies against her snowy white skin. She felt extremely proud of her brother, he was controlling everything. Soon the vampires would rule the world. Daciana was looking forward to having slaves. She would drink their blood every day and if they tried to stop her, she would torture them! Dragos opened his mouth and spoke.
"Daciana, my beautiful sister," he said.
They kissed one another on the cheek.
"New York, Boston, Washington and New Orleans, they all belong to us . Our troops are now conquering the suburbs and small towns. It is going exactly as planned," Dragos said triumphantly .
"I know, you did it!" said Daciana.
"I couldn't have done it without you Daciana," said Dragos lovingly.
Dragos and Daciana loved each other a lot. Vampire twins were very rare. Dragos and Daciana were famous in the vampire world. All the vampires knew that they went everywhere together and that they killed together. The vampires thought that when the attack was finished, the two twins would control New York together.
Before he could continue, a blond-haired male vampire interrupted. He was handsome and wearing a brown leather jacket. He looked nervously at Dragos. Dragos was a cruel and violent vampire and he scared the people around him. They knew what he could do, if you made him angry. The blond-haired vampire swallowed and spoke to Dragos, his voice was trembling .
"Sir, you must see this," he said.
"What is it?" questioned Dragos angrily. He didn't want interruptions at this important time.
"It's the president sir. She's making a special broadcast ," the vampire told him.
Dragos was furious ! Had he understood correctly?
"What! Impossible! I thought we jammed all the communication channels . How is this possible?" he demanded.
"I don't know sir. They must have found a way," the blond vampire said nervously.
"Show me!" screamed Dragos.
The blond vampire pushed a button and the president's face filled the screen. It was a live broadcast . The president began to speak...
