Shuffling over to the refrigerator, Dean took out the bottle of cinnamon creamer, went back to the table and plopped into the chair beside Sommer’s. He opened the creamer and poured a generous helping into his mug. “So. I guess your mother’s ghost was trying to lead you to her body, huh?”
“I think so, yeah. Her body, and her diary, so I’d know what happened to her.” His mug clutched between his hands, Sommer gazed thoughtfully out the window into the wet gray afternoon. “I wish she’d come back. I’d like to see her again, now that I know. Even though she couldn’t talk to me or anything. It would’ve been different, knowing it was her.” Yawning again, Sommer closed his eyes and rubbed the lids with a thumb and forefinger.
“Totally.” Dean lifted his own mug and took a sip. “Where do you think your dad is?”
Sommer shook his head. “I have no idea. Right now, I’m not even sure I want to know. Either he was here when Mom died and he never told me—never notified anyone, in fact, just buried her out there in the woods and took off—or he left her when she was sick. Either way, I’m pretty angry with him right now.”
“I’m sorry, Sommer. I know this has got to be tough for you. I wish I could do more to help.”
Sommer set his coffee down and pinned Dean with a piercing look. “You’ve helped, Dean. More than I can tell you.”
The gratitude in Sommer’s voice tugged at Dean’s heart. He gazed deep into Sommer’s eyes, unsure of what he was looking for, but desperate to find it anyway.
What he saw was hot desire, underlaid with something Dean was afraid to name, because it couldn’t possibly be true.
Wanting to replace that tender look with pure lust, he put his coffee down, leaned forward and pressed his lips to Sommer’s in an insistent kiss.
A hoarse groan tore from Sommer’s throat. His hand came up to tangle in Dean’s hair, tilting his head to deepen the kiss. Dean whimpered as Sommer’s tongue forced his mouth wide open. He loved Sommer’s sexual aggressiveness, so shockingly different from his otherwise soft-spoken, almost demure demeanor. Kissing Sommer felt as natural as breathing, and just as necessary. It scared Dean how much he already craved Sommer’s touch.
Don’t think about it. Just let him take what he needs, enjoy it, and don’t think about it.
Easier said than done, maybe, but Dean was determined not to think about that either.
Dean let out a startled yip when the phone rang. Sommer grimaced. “Stay,” he ordered, laying a palm over Dean’s hammering heart. “I’ll be right back.”
Obediently keeping his seat, Dean watched Sommer cross the room, pick up the phone and say “hello” in a lust-rough voice. The outline of his erection was clearly visible through the snug, faded jeans.
Dean’s mouth watered. He barely heard Sommer greet whoever was on the other end of the line.
“Yeah, Dean’s still here,” Sommer said, glancing at him with a sly smile. “He helped me out with some of my work, then we had a nice long nap to make up for being awake all night.” Kerry’s voice floated through the receiver, saying something Dean couldn’t make out, and Sommer laughed. “Yes, we really did sleep, actually.”
Dean eyed Sommer’s crotch. His erection was too tempting for Dean to resist. Especially since he hadn’t tasted that gorgeous cock in three whole days.
Wondering if Sommer would punish him for what he was about to do—and halfway hoping the answer was “yes”—Dean stood, sauntered across the room and dropped to his knees in front of Sommer. The man’s soft gasp when Dean flipped open the button on his jeans and tugged down the zipper made Dean’s stiffening cock throb.
“Oh. Um. No, I haven’t heard anything else from the police,” Sommer said into the phone, his voice trembling a little as Dean pulled his prick out and rubbed his cheek against the head. “But they only just left a few hours ago, so… No, I’m not…oh God…a suspect, but…uh…I’m not supposed to leave t-town.” He moaned, back arching to push his hips forward. “No, they… Shit … They haven’t identified the body. It takes a lot longer than… Yeah, I’ll…I’ll let y’all know when I…when I hear anything.”
Keeping his eyes rolled up to see Sommer’s face, Dean ran his tongue in slow circles around the head of Sommer’s cock.
Sommer closed his eyes and leaned his head against the wall. His free hand clenched in Dean’s hair.
