one of his hands behind his back. Lucas was so close.
“Come for me, Lucas, come, baby,” Jack moaned in his ear.
    “God, yes!”
Jack’s movements became more urgent and less coordinated at the same time Lucas felt his belly grow tight. When he felt Jack’s release accompanied by a low groan, it pushed him over the edge too, and he climaxed, stifling a cry as his legs gave way. Jack’s breath was warm against his neck and the American’s weight felt good against his back.
As he grew limp underneath Jack, he pulled his arm from between them and realized his shoulders were going to be sore in the morning. A small price to pay for so much pleasure.
    The phone stopped ringing.
“Thank God for that,” Jack murmured as he pushed himself up.
The American walked around to the other side of the desk, still not altogether steady on his feet and popped a box of tissues on the table in front of Lucas. “We have to look presentable when they burst in here,” he stated apologetically, still a little breathless as he dropped into his chair.
Lucas smiled up at Jack and hoped his shirt had been more or less out of the way of his release. As he pushed himself away from the surface of the desk, he could tell from Jack’s face his hopes were in vain.
“It’s a good thing you do your own laundry now, Luke,” Jack chuckled as Lucas started wiping himself with a tissue.
The desk hadn’t entirely escaped unscathed either, and Jack gave it a wipe while Lucas tucked his shirt into his pants.
“So how do we look?” Lucas asked as he adjusted his tie.
Jack got up from the desk and grabbed Lucas so he could give him a passionate kiss. “Totally fuckable.” He smiled as he let go and walked over to the door. “I’m going to let Mark in, okay?” Mark was right there when Jack opened the door.
“Everything okay?” Jack asked in his most professional voice.

Mark’s face showed he was a little unsure of exactly how to answer that question. “DOVO has sent a message to tell us the bomb was defused, sir. The lock-down is called off…with your permission, of course, sir.”
Both men watched Mark look around the room suspiciously.
“Will that be all, Mark?” Jack asked one hand still on the door.
“Yes, sir,” Mark said reluctantly, but he didn’t move from his spot.
Lucas could tell the Secret Service man didn’t entirely trust the situation, so he tossed him a question.
“Are we allowed to leave the office now?”
    “Yes, sir.”
“Very well. Thank you for taking charge and staying on top of the situation. Wonderful job!” Jack stated, closing the door in Mark’s face.
Lucas moved behind him and tucked the back of Jack’s shirt in.
“I’m glad you didn’t turn around.”
Jack turned and smiled at Lucas. “I thought he was never going to leave.”
“He was only doing his job,” Lucas teased.
“I bet he’s wondering why it’s me that gets to fuck you over a desk and not him,” Jack shot back.
“Oh gosh, I hope not!” Lucas answered. “Do you think he…knows?”
Jack’s face turned serious now too. “I can only hope his imagination doesn’t stretch that far.”
“Well, they might have heard the moaning.”
Jack looked slightly worried. “I think we can trust Mark and Mrs.
Claessens to keep that to themselves.”
Lucas pursed his lips. “I think your secretary is on our side, but I’m not so sure about Mark. Of course I don’t know him the way you do.” Jack quickly kissed his lover. “Don’t worry so much.” He traced the lines on Lucas’s forehead. “You’re cuter when you smile.” 114 | Z a h r a O w e n s

Chapter Fifteen
ON an occasion where several U.S. Ambassadors would be meeting together, the host Embassy would usually provide them with accommodation. However, this time the Paris Embassy was undergoing extensive renovations, so the guests were kindly offered hotel rooms.
As Jack and Lucas compared keycards on the way to their respective rooms, they realized they were not only located on the same floor, but also seemed to be in adjoining rooms. As they entered their suites, it got even better when they noticed the connecting door.
“This can only be Gertje’s doing, right?” Lucas asked.
“Well, I don’t see the embassy personnel here coming up with the idea to let the Ambassador and the U.K. representative practically share a room. I’m sure she called the hotel in her perfect French as soon as she found out
