where I was or how to get anywhere.” He got louder as his anger took over. “I trusted you, and you abandoned me!” He swung again and felt a hand catch his wrist. “How could you do that?” Robbie’s emotions were getting the best of him now, and he tried to pull his arm away so he could go back to his room.
“I-I’m sorry.” The despair in Joey’s voice made him stop struggling and listen. “The thought of hurting you is….” He heard Joey’s voice begin to break, and he felt the hand let go of his wrist.
Part of him wanted to just leave and hurt Joey as much as he’d been hurt, but another part, a bigger part, was about what Joey had to say. Making his decision, he sat on the edge of the bed. “I’m listening.” He folded his arms over his chest.
“I’m sorry I did that to you.” Robbie heard a sniffle and knew Joey was crying and probably had been crying. “I almost got you killed when we were riding, and I thought you’d never want to see me again, not that I could blame you.”
“What happened? Was it like before?” He felt a lump forming in his own throat.

Love Means … NO Boundaries
“Yeah. Someone pulled out in front of us, and then he stopped.
Turned out it was a really old man going out to pick up his mail. He obviously didn’t see us and turned into the road. But then he stopped.” “How is that your fault?” Robbie waited for Joey to answer.
“I should have been prepared, gone slower.” God, he could hear the pain in Joey’s voice, and it made his own eyes water. “I couldn’t stop in time and turned into the driveway and ended up stopping on the lawn.”
Robbie let out his held breath. “Is that what this is about?” He swatted the blanket near him. “You saved us. Did we get in an accident? No. Did we hit anything? No. All we got was a bumpy ride for a few seconds, and you stopped us safely.”
“But I almost killed you.” The near grief in his voice was plainly evident.
“But you didn’t. Instead your quick thinking got us stopped safely.” Robbie took a big breath. “You did nothing wrong at all…
until we got back to the farm. You let your fear take over, and you left me. I trusted you, and you left me.” Robbie heard Joey sniffle. “I thought you’d hate me for almost getting you injured or worse. Jesus, instead I hurt you by leaving you alone.” Robbie felt Joey touch his arm. “I’m sorry. That’s the last thing I wanted.”
For the first time in hours, Robbie felt his stomach start to unwind. “I spent the last few hours thinking I’d done something wrong.” His anger and frustration started to ramp up again. “I thought you were mad at me because I pressured you into taking for the ride in the first place.”

Robbie waited and heard Joey laugh softly. “We’re a pair aren’t we?”
“I guess we are.”
Robbie was about to get up when he felt Joey’s arms around him, pulling him against the warmth of his body. Hands moved soothingly along his back as he was hugged tightly, like he was something precious.
“Don’t ever abandon me again,” Robbie chastised softly just before his lips were taken and hands guided him under the covers.
This was what Robbie had been hoping for earlier in the evening, that Joey would make love to him. Up until now Robbie had let Joey lead them in their nighttime endeavors. He smiled as he recalled his nanna’s term for sex. But this time he returned Joey’s kisses with gusto, using his weight to push Joey back against the bedding. He felt Joey trying to take charge, but Robbie wasn’t giving up that easily and continued kissing him into the mattress until he felt Joey capitulate beneath him.
Robbie reveled in the control. He had so little of it in his life.
“Take what you want, Robbie.” The words were an invitation he’d never received. He spent so much of his life under the control and guidance of others. Robbie felt his heart expand with forgiveness and wonder at the trust Joey was showing in him.
Robbie felt Joey’s hands slide down his back and under the elastic of his briefs, cupping his butt.
“Lift your hips.”
Complying, he felt the fabric slide over his hips and down his legs. Working them off, Robbie sighed softly as he felt Joey against him, skin to skin. Robbie kept kissing, his hands exploring the acres of hot skin beneath him, his hands forming a clear picture of every contour of Joey’s body. “You always say I’m beautiful, but so are
