Love Means No Boundaries - Andrew Grey
out was that all soda cans feel alike and he thought he had a variety, but instead he’d filled the cooler with Diet Coke and only Diet Coke. The guys drank it, but he heard Pete ragging Geoff about letting the blind guy pack the cooler. Since then Eli kept every flavor in a specific place, and there’d been no more complaints.
“How many more people are coming?”
“Four. They should be here soon.”
He heard Geoff’s footsteps rushing toward the back door.
“Thank you!”
“You’re welcome,” he called back as the back door banged closed.
On days like this, he wished he could do more, but he knew it was best to stay out of the way. Feeling around the desk, he found Geoff’s list and began running his fingers over the bumps. He picked up the phone and dialed the bank.
People came and went throughout the morning, hurrying in and out again. Trucks came and went, people yelling and 192 Love Means … NO Boundaries
questioning, the yard a bustle of activity. Lunch was sandwiches Eli had made earlier, hastily eaten.
When he’d finished everything Geoff needed, he went upstairs to their room and got his violin and began to play. Content and happy beyond anything he could remember, he let the music from his heart flow through his hands and out to the instrument.
“What song is that?”
Joey’s voice startled him, and he stopped playing. “It isn’t. I just made it up.”
“It sounded happy.”
“That’s because I am.” He set the instrument on his lap.
“Don’t they need you outside?”
“We just finished.” He felt Joey’s hands on his legs, and then he was being kissed.
“What was that for?”
“Listen.”
Robbie listened and heard the low rumble of thunder in the distance. “I’m glad you finished in time.”
“Thanks to you, we had enough help and got it all in.” He felt Joey’s weight slip away. “I need to help put things away before it rains.” Robbie felt another soft kiss and then heard footsteps as Joey left the room and bounded down the stairs.
Picking up his instrument again, he resumed playing and continued until he heard the back door banging closed and the sound of rain on the windows. Sensing he had an audience, he stopped and turned toward the door. “Joey.” He knew he was there.
“You’re so beautiful when you play. Almost as beautiful as when….”

Robbie felt the violin being lifted from his hand, and he was pressed back against the bed. Rex had been keeping him company, and Robbie felt him jump down to get out of the way. “I love you, Robbie Jameson.”
He felt Joey’s hand slide under his shirt, the warm palm gliding over his skin, and he began to squirm. His pants were tight, and he wanted to feel Joey’s touch. Arching his hips he tried to get Joey’s attention a little lower, but it wasn’t happening. Those fingers were employed worrying his nipples to points as he was being kissed within an inch of his life.
“Robbie!” A forceful call rang up the stairs.
Joey lifted himself up. “Great timing, Geoff.”
“You have a phone call.”
Robbie fumbled to his feet and felt along Joey’s face, the skin, stubble, and now soft scars glided beneath his fingers. “And I love you.” He received a kiss and then made his way to the door, hearing Joey laugh behind him.
“You look like a drunken sailor.”
“And whose fault is that?” Getting hold of himself, he made his way downstairs and Geoff handed him the phone.
“Mr. Jameson, I’m Juanita Figueroa with the Mason Lake Intermediate School District.” Robbie crinkled his forehead in confusion. “I spoke with Mr. Laughton about creating a therapy riding program at his farm and he agreed. He said I needed to work out the details with you.” “Therapy riding,” he whispered to himself.
“Yes.” She’d heard him. “These programs give disabled kids a chance to ride a horse. It helps strengthen their muscles and quite frankly, allows many of these kids to do something they never thought they could do.”

Robbie found himself smiling and jumped slightly when he felt a pair of arms wind around his waist. “What would this entail?” He found himself getting excited about this idea.
“I was hoping we could meet with you and go over everything.”
“Sure.” This idea really sounded great. “Would you like to come here?”
“We certainly could. Is five tomorrow okay?” Robbie turned to Joey and filled him in quickly. Joey nodded and
